![]() There are quite a few beautiful beachfronts in South Florida where you can go to relax and unwind. Being that this website is primarily focused on Miami Beach, we'll be concentrating on the picturesque beaches within its city limits. But that's easy to do, since all six sections of the Miami Beach coastline are ideal for taking in the sun, surf and sand. We hope you'll agree that this scenic natural resource is one of the greatest attributes of Miami Beach and South Beach. The Travel Channel concurs, and voted Miami Beach as one of the Top 10 beaches in America. Not only are the beaches
of
Miami Beach pleasing to the eye, they are also one of the safest
around. For
your safety and protection, the State of Florida has implemented a
Beach Warning Flag
System, that is in use at beaches throughout the Sunshine State.
The
colored flag displayed at the lifeguard stand will let you know what
the current surf condition is at that particular beach.
Please pay close attention to
the color
of the flag, as it could possibly save your life and those around you.
If
you need their assistance while at the beach, the Miami Beach Patrol
and Ocean Rescue team is at your service. There are more than
25
lifeguard stands along Miami Beach's coastline. If
for some
reason you are unable to get in touch with a member of the Beach
Patrol, dial the number below or 9-1-1 in an emergency. Miami

of the six beaches listed have the basic necessities needed for a safe
and comfortable time: lifeguards, restrooms and snack or picnic
facilities. Check each location below to see what specific
amenities they offer.
Clicking on each photo will link you to a map detailing the exact location of that beach. Beach locations go from North Miami Beach to South Beach from the top of the page to the bottom. Please note that all the beaches listed are handicapped accessible and are usually open sunrise to sunset. Is today going to be a beach day? How about tomorrow or the weekend? Whether it's a sunny, partly sunny or somewhat cloudy day, don't forget to put on a sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from the pleasant but damaging and intense rays of the Florida sun.
