One who wishes to further his or her education has plenty of choices when it comes to a well-rounded secondary education in the Miami Beach area. There is an assortment of quality institutions to consider.

The largest and most recognized university is of course, the University of Miami in Coral Gables.  They've got a boatload of degree programs to go along with their thriving campus and Division I NCAA Athletics.

Miami Dade College, which boasts the largest student population in the area at 160,000 students, offers 8 convenient area campuses throughout Miami-Dade county.  

More than 8,500 students attend Barry University in Miami Shores and are involved in their 100+ undergraduate, graduate, professional and doctoral programs.   

Florida International University, known for it's emphasis on Public Research studies, has been serving the community since 1972.  Since then, their student body has grown from 5,667 to 38,000.

One of the more intimate settings for a quality education includes Johnson and Wales University in North Miami.  At JWU, degree programs that are available include Marketing, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, and Hotel & Lodging Management.

For those interested in taking a creative path, there's the ever popular Miami International University of Art and Design.

St. John Vianney College Seminary offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and a Certificate in Pre-Theology for those who would like to travel down such ecumenical paths.

Brown Mackie College and Jones College round out the list, with a handful of outstanding career-oriented programs offered at each institution.
