Shopping
![]() With a hip, chic and upscale area such as Miami Beach, its shopping is bound to be one of its major attractions, right? We tend to think so. The first place, or should we say first three places that come to mind when thinking about shopping in Miami Beach is of course the popular Ocean Drive, Lincoln Drive and Espanola Way. All three Miami Beach arteries, are the heart of Miami Beach shopping, with their stunning variety of sophisticated shops, boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Other great outdoor shopping districts to consider, right outside of Miami Beach, are the Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and CocoWalk in Coconut Grove. Like Ocean Drive, Lincoln Drive and Espanola Way, both the Miracle Mile and CocoWalk are also well known for their great galleries, eateries, shops and boutiques. An open-air mall deserved of being mentioned is the Bayside Marketplace. It boasts live entertainment seven days a week, along with many great places to shop and eat. Taking things indoors, we may be cooled off by air conditioning and shade from the sun's intense rays, but the hot shopping at the Aventura Mall and Dolphin mall will have you heated up in no time. Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Abercrombie & Fitch, Calvin Klein, Gap, Lucky Brand Dungarees and Urban Outfitters are a few stores to shop at the Aventura Mall. Eateries on premises include: Bella Luna, The Cheesecake Factory, Johnny Rockets, Ocean Prime, Rosalia's and Sushi Siam. The Dolphin Mall has a mixture of regular merchants, including: BCBG Max Azria, Esprit, Express/Express Men, and Nautica, along with outlet merchants such as: Bebe Outlet, Calvin Klein Factory Outlet, Coach Outlet the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and Tommy Hilfiger Company Store. Places to dine feature: Johnny Rockets, KOBE Japanese Steak & Seafood, and TGI Friday's. For the ultimate upscale indoor shopping experience, the place to be is the Bal Harbour Shops off of Collins Avenue just north of Miami Beach in Bal Harbor. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Emporio Armani, Valentino are just a few of the select shops at this grand shopping venue. Eateries at Bal Harbour are: Carpaccio, La Goulue Christian Delouvrier, Lea's Tea Room & Bistro, Santa Fe News & Espresso and Zodiac Cafe at Nieman Marcus. Both valet parking and self parking are available at Bal Harbour Shops. Those
looking for the shopping deals of the century however, will need to
head 40 miles Northwest of Miami Beach, to the Sawgrass Mall in
Sunrise. With more than 350 name-brand outlet stores, shops
and
restaurants, you'll probably want to set a whole day aside in order to
tackle this monstrosity of a mall. Coach Factory, Gap Kids Outlet,
Kenneth Cole Outlet Store, Nieman Marcus Last Call, Nike
Factory Store, Reebok Outlet and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5th are
a
few places to find great prices on fine clothing, accessories, and
more. The Cheesecake Factory, Japan Cafe, Legal Sea
Foods, Nathan's, P.F. Chang's and Panda Express are some of the places
to chow down at the Sawgrass Mall. No
matter how you look at it, Miami Beach and it's surrounding communities
collectively are a shopper's paradise.
